We used the 9 "B's" and paired them with the values. We had each class take three of the B's/Values and they were in charge of preparing a 5 minutes skit, song, slideshow, or other presentaion about that B/Value.
We had one activity before that we used as a preparation and the girls worked on what they were going to do. They really took ownership of this and it turned out really fun.
We tied it into the theme of last year - "Bee"ing an example. It could easily be tied into this years theme of "Bee"ing strong and of a good courage. We also bought the girls beeive necklaces from deseret book ($5.00 a piece) and talked about why the beehive was chosen of a symbol for the saints. How it symbolized working together, cohesiveness, and industry. All qualities we should be striving to have as a YW group.
On each table we had flowers of the value color and paper Bees in them. We had all the leaders bring a crock pot soup, we provided salad and rolls and the YW brought dessert.
If you would like any of the files we used for invites etc. Email me at melglsn@yahoo.com
